Vikram Kapoor is a Director in our New York office who has expertise in the valuation of asset backed securities and credit derivatives, including residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS), cash and synthetic collateralized debt obligations (CDOs), and credit default swaps (CDS). He has consulted to global investment banks, large mortgage banks, financial guaranty insurers, and government regulators. Other valuation experience includes sovereign fixed income securities during Argentina’s 2001- 02 crises and interest rate derivative instruments like interest rate swaps, options, caps and floors. Mr. Kapoor also has significant M&A valuation experience and intangible asset valuation experience. He has consulted to large software companies on the valuation of their intangible assets and large DTH companies on significant M&A valuations.  

Mr. Kapoor has an M.B.A. in Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo and holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from V.I.T. at the University of Pune, India. Mr. Kapoor has been registered and licensed with the NASD and has passed the Series 7 and 63 qualifying exams. Prior to joining Chicago Partners, a subsidiary of Navigant Consulting, Mr. Kapoor worked at LECG as a Sr. Consultant. Mr. Kapoor has also worked as a securities broker with National Securities and in IT consulting with HCL Technologies in Mumbai, India.
