John Olvany, Outside Consultant, consults in the area of fixed income securities and derivative products specializing in market practices, valuation, and liquidity of complex derivative instruments. He has twenty-two years of experience in the credit markets across the globe and draws on a wide range of knowledge gained from activities including sales, trading, market making, and compliance. Throughout his career dealing with every conceivable market participant including court-appointed trustees, hedge funds, and central banks, he has witnessed the rapid development of credit products and trading strategies that have contributed to the on-going global credit crisis. Prior to his current endeavors, he was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley responsible for Institutional Sales and Trading in Chicago. During his career, he also held a variety of positions in the firm’s area that handles senior corporate relationships. He is currently registered with the NASD having successfully completed Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 exams. Mr. Olvany graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, MA.
